What tends to govern

In a logistics yard the gate is the critical component. It cycles far more often than a typical commercial gate, it has to clear trailer swing paths, and any failure stops the yard. Cantilever slide gates are usual where swing clearance is unavailable and where snow would foul a ground track.

Fence line placement is normally driven by trailer turning circles and truck staging rather than by the property boundary. Getting the layout confirmed against the yard plan before ordering avoids the most expensive category of change.
