What tends to govern

Industrial perimeters are specified around function: keeping people out of hazardous areas, controlling vehicle movement, and protecting equipment and stored material. Height, section weight and fastener type carry more weight in the decision than profile.

Access points do most of the work and take most of the abuse. Gate posts, hinges and latches on an industrial site should be specified at the same standard as the fence line itself, not treated as accessories.
